New Portraits

Last week, in honor of Matty's 4th birthday, we took him to get some new portraits done at JC Penney. Actually, we took him and his puppy too. He did such a great job and the pictures turned out just perfect (see for yourself!). It was hard to choose which ones to get copies of. Matty also had his 4-year old check-up last week. He weighs 38 lbs (75th percentile) and is 39 inches tall (25th percentile). He also had his hearing tested (did perfect on that) and his eyes tested (has 20/20 vision). He didn't have to get any shots this year, but will have to get a bunch of pre-kindergarten ones next year.

Matty is doing so good in every aspect. He loves being a big brother and tries to be a good example for Eric. He knows all of his letters and numbers and is trying to sound words out already. He also has learned his left from his right (which amazes me because I personally still have problems with that one!). We are constantly in awe of his memory and just his enthusiasm for life. He brings us so much joy every single day.

As for Eric, he is doing wonderfully as well. He has so many adorable little catch-phrases. Lately he says "I did it!!!" a lot- like whenever he does anything he wants praise or recongnition for. He has quite a stubborn streak, but is a sweet and cuddly as can be too. Michael and I are often tempted to wake Eric up in the middle of the night to play with him just because we miss his cuteness!
